Deadpan Pictures is delighted to announce, that HALAL DADDY directed by Conor McDermottroe will Premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festical. Nowhere Fast Deadpan Pictures’ comedy ‘Nowhere Fast’ has started shooting in Dublin. The brain child of stand up comedian Alison Spittle ‘Nowhere Fast’ is a comedy about life in small town Ireland as seen from the perspective of the returning millennial.  Alison will play our leading lady, Angela. Starring along side Spittle are Clare Monnelly (Moone Boy), Genevieve Hulme Beaman (Pondling) as Angela’s best friends Mary and Brid, with Angela’s family being played by a stellar cast including Cathy Belton (Red Rock/Philomena/Roy) and Mark Doherty (Moone Boy/ A Film with Me in It). Deadpan Pictures is delighted to announce that their comedy drama ‘Can’t Cope Won’t Cope’ will broadcast later this year to British audiences on BBC Three.   Can’t Cope Won’t Cope follows two Cork girls, Aisling (Seána Kerslake, A Date for Mad Mary) and Danielle (Nika McGuigan, Philomena), as they navigate Dublin and the perilous waters of adulthood. Content Media Teams With Deadpan Pictures In Exclusive First Look Partnership

  Deadpan Pictures is pleased to announce a First Look Development and Distribution deal with global entertainment company Content Media for a 6 project comedy drama slate. In addition, Content are providing gap funding on CAN’T COPE WON’T COPE which started shooting recently and is being produced in association with RTE and BAI. Ailish McElmeel (Burning Wishes) is producing, Cathy Brady (Glue for e4) is directing and Stefanie Priesner (Solpadine is my Boyfriend) has written.
